In order to use Windscribe VPN on a desktop Mac with an M1 chip you would need extra software.

Apple devices running M1 chips need Rosetta installed in order to run the Windscribe app on M1 Macs.

In the future, we will be making a proper port that will work natively on M1 chips.

Without Rosetta, Windscribe will not work on M1 Mac devices.

Rosetta is a primary requirement, whether you are installing our production release or beta. Rosetta basically allows M1 chips to run x86 applications. Our applications for Mac are still x86.
